| Barbican Great Performers Hudson-Powell were commissioned to create a series of imagery to support the Barbican's Great Performers session. We developed an audio visualisation application that allowed us to create visual representations of musical pieces that would feature throughout the music program. The program works in progressive manner, by analyzing patterns in the audio frequency, the system feeds the growth patterns within the visualisation process. The graphical procedure builds an organic tree like structure that flowers in relation to the musical input. The computer program allows the user to load in song files, and to navigate and manipulate the complex structures that are formed and export them as 3d models. Ultimately the function of the application is to create still imagery to support printed matter like posters and booklets. Project was a collaboration with North design Development with 2roqs |
